Sunday coffee guests at the Pete H. Klassen home after the Jost reunion were Mrs. Ella Fertig of Great Bend, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fertig and family of Ellinwood, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fertig and family of Saegertown, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hain of Wichita, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kennedy and family of Hutchinson, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Jost, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jost, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Friesen, all of Hillsboro.

Rain showers, accompanied by crackling thunder and lightning, provided 1.5 inches of moisture for the Hillsboro area by 7 a.m. Wednesday. The showers brought the May total to 4.77 inches.

Mrs. Margaret Ensz accompanied the Norman Ensz family to Lawrence for the graduation of her granddaughter, Vickie Schmidt, from the Kansas University School of Pharmacy.

Saturday afternoon guests of Mrs. A.J. Voth were Mildred Friesen, Esther Kliewer, Susie Martins, Betty Keef of Lincoln, Neb., and Malinda Suderman.

Claire Suderman, 7, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Suderman of Hillsboro was struck by a car while riding her bicycle east on Grand Street at Main on May 24. She was hit by the car's left front fender and was thrown onto the hood of the car. She was taken to Salem Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance with what appeared to be minor injuries.
