Mr. and Mrs. John Reznicek Sr. of Lost Springs announce the engagement of their daughter Mary Jane to Charles Warren Loewen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leander Loewen of Hillsboro. A 1975 graduate of Centre High School, Miss Reznicek is employed at the Dine Inn as a waitress. Her fiancé graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1971 and is engaged in farming. They are planning an August wedding.
Six Hillsboro High School cheerleaders attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association Camp at the University of Tulsa from June 12 through June 15. The group included Beth Hiebert, Debi Helmer, Joni Ensz, Elizabeth Upton, Danita Funk, Kim Franz, and sponsor Cheryl Suderman.
Betty Bernhardt, Mollie Bernhardt and Rachel Lais of Wichita accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dan Riffel, Mrs. Dillard Klein and Michelle of Enterprise to visit Mrs. (Alex) Bertha Bernhardt of Marysville, Wash., who was a houseguest of her daughter, Mrs. Jerry Schluetter and family in Arlington, Neb.
Hillsboro High School coaches Jerry Jones and Don Penner attended the coaches' clinic in conjunction with the East-West Shrine football game. Jones is head basketball coach and Penner head football coach.
USD 410 teaching contracts were offered to Daniel McKinney, a native of California, for junior high and senior high music, and Eric Jaderborg, of Lindsborg, for high school English, speech, and drama.
Elma Fisher spent Sunday with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fisher, Danny and Kristin, in Salina for a birthday dinner in her honor.
