Lynn Breese, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. David Breese of Hillsboro, and David Seligh, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Richard Seligh of Wichita, were married Dec. 30 in the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church. Rev. Gary Wiens and Rev. David Breese officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Judy L. Smith and Dennis W. Penner, both of Garden City, exchanged wedding vows Dec. 17 in the Garden Valley Church. The Rev. Jacob Neufeld officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Harold Kasper of Hillsboro and Mrs. Jerry O'Hair of Bentonville, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Jean Kasper, to Douglas Gene Beisel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Beisel of Hillsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Harder, Scott, Timothy and Kathy, and Phyllis Langley left last Tuesday for Elkhart, Ind., after spending one week with parents and friends during the holiday season.

Dr. Marvin Schadt, the USD 410 superintendent of schools for the past three and one-half years, submitted his letter of resignation from that position Monday at the regular meeting of the board of education. He plans to retire June 30.

Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Penner and the Wilmer Thiessens returned last week from California where they attended a reunion of Mrs. Penner's family at the Redwood Christian Park Camp near San Jose during the Christmas holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Jantz entertained his brothers and sisters for a post-Christmas dinner Friday evening, Jan. 6, in their home. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Jantz of Roxbury; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Richert of Durham; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jantz of Tampa; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Decker and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Funk.
