Providing an area legislator will support passage of a bill in this or the next session, the Durham school property will be sold to the city of Durham for the sum of $5, plus other considerations.

The Greenhaw Pharmacy, 115 S. Main, Hillsboro, was burglarized sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning reported Don Greenhaw, owner, according to Marion County Sheriff June Jost.

Don and Janette Brubacher, Hillsboro, announce the birth of their first child, a son, Scott Dale, born April 3 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital, Newton. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

The Hillsboro Business and Professional Women's Club delivered four Chamber of Commerce Welcome Baskets during April to Dennis Funk, Kenneth George, Vernon E. Janzen, and Herman Schlothauer.

David and Helen Ratzlaff, Hillsboro, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday at the Hillsboro M. B. Church.

Susan Springer and Glen Kliewer were united in marriage March 16 at the First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. Parents of the couple are Paul and Aldythe Springer, Fisher, Ill., and Walter and Wilma Kliewer, Hillsboro.

The Hillsboro Recreation Commission met last Wednesday, and announced the hiring of Judy Wall as swimming pool manager for the coming summer. Wall is soon a senior at Tabor College. Three life guards have also been hired: Warren Wiebe, Deidre Reusser, and Lynn Isaac.

Angie Helmer went on a record-breaking rampage to lead the Hillsboro eighth grade girls with 15 points in a five team meet at Hesston on April 9. Helmer smashed school records in the 440, 220, and 100. It was the first meet of the year for the junior high thinclads.
