Mr. and Mrs. Dan G. Jost have been visiting Mrs. Jost's brother Cornel and wife who live in Aptos, Calif., near San Jose. From there they spent a few days in Reedley visiting Mrs. J.S. Jost, who lives in Pleasant View Manor.

Tressie Kelsey, Betty Barkman and Marilyn Jost attended the State Association for Children with learning Disabilities (ACLD) convention in Wichita.

Three Hillsboro High School tennis players qualified for the state 2-A girls tennis tournament by placing third in regional playoffs at Belleville High School. Denise Feil, singles player, Ruthanne Loewen and Lynn Isaac, doubles team, will enter that state meet Friday at Lindsborg.

LaVerne and Jane Buchholz of Hillsboro were involved in a one-car accident Friday en route to WaKeeney. Mrs. Buchholz remains hospitalized at St. Anthony's Hospital in Hays. Her injuries include a fracture of the fifth and sixth vertebra of the neck.

Lydia J. Hein of Hillsboro, president of the Marion County Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC), will attend the New Orleans Convention of the National ARC Nov. 2 through 5.

Bands and choirs from four Christian academies will converge at Tabor College Nov. 4 and 5 for the first Choral and Band Festival sponsored by Tabor. High school musicians numbering nearly 250 will gather for the two-day event.
