Four Hillsboro High School students have been chosen for District VI Chorus. Singing at the Dec. 3 event at Wichita State University will be Jannita Flaming, Grace Seibel, Joetta Klassen, and Glenn Guhr.
The Tabor College football team's defensive unit was second best in the KCAC at the end of the regular season. Tabor allowed opponents 1,389 yards rushing and 710 passing.
Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. P. P. Klassen were Mr. and Ms. Bob Flaming and Bobie of Bonaire, Netherelands, Antilles, and Mr. and Mrs. John Block.
Patrice Grunau, Becky Hornback of Nebraska, and Beth Palmer of South Dakota, all students at Bartelsville Wesleyan at Bartelsville, Okla., will be guests in the home of Patrice's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Grunau.
A Harvest/Thanksgiving Festival service will be held Nov. 27 in the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Featured speakers will be Allen Ewert, vice president of World Impact, and Glendon and Reitha Klaassen, missionaries to Columbia, South America.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Unruh of Hillsboro announce the birth of their daughter, Shannon Leigh, born Nov. 10. She has a sister, Jonelle. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Unruh of Durham and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson of Hillsboro.
