Capt. Leon J. Patton of Ft. Bragg, N.C., expects to arrive Saturday for a 10-day visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Patton. Patton, who is an adjutant with the 82nd Airborne, will also be visiting his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard K. Meisinger and sons of rural Marion, and his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Patton and daughters, of Hesston.
Glen Guhr, Hillsboro High School sophomore, was selected to the All-State Choir when he auditioned at the District VI Chorus Dec. 3 in Wichita. Guhr is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert of rural Lehigh.
It is possible to score 116 points in a college basketball game and lose. It's possible to score 72 points a half and lose the same game. Coach Lee Erickson and his Tabor Bluejays found that out Wednesday night when they lost a 121-116 KCAC shoot-out to the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes.

The Hillsboro Star Journal has been designated a National Blue Ribbon Newspaper for 1978-79 by the National Newspaper Foundation of Washington, D.C. In announcing the designation, Foundation president Peter A. Dragon noted that the Star-Journal was one of only 313 newspapers in the country to achieve the designation.
