Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Pankratz spent the weekend in Kansas City with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bale and Jami. They also attended a concert by the Kansas City, Mo., Philharmonic orchestra in which Jami was chosen to play along with other area high school students.
Lynn Carol Breese Seligh and Glenn Mitchell Suderman were among 920 students who completed requirements for degrees at Kansas State University at midterm. Mrs. Seligh was graduated with a bachelor's of science in home economics and Suderman graduated with a bachelor's of science in physical education.
Darlene Richert, senior at Southwestern College in Winfield, is listed on the honorable mention dean's honor roll for the first semester. Darlene, who is a star athlete at the college in basketball volleyball, is majoring in health, physical education and recreation. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jake Richert of rural Hillsboro.
Four board members were elected at the annual meeting of Hillsboro-Municipal Golf Club. Andy Friesen, Joel Klaassen, Robert Sextro and Bob Hein will join Jerold Vogt, Jerry Jones and Paul Rundstrom on the seven-member board of directors.
Sunday evening dinner guests of Rosie Kaiser were the Lehigh men's and women's Sunday School class. Guests were Rev. and Mrs. P.W. Goering, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Fritzinger, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Flaming, Wm. Brandt, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Hiebert, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Peters, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartel, Pearl Janzen, Alice Ratzlaff, Rachel Bartel, Marie Goossen and Mrs. Walter Voth.
