A silver-plated communion pitcher and two cups were taken from a car in downtown Hillsboro Tuesday morning. Mrs. Irvin Geis, Durham, said she had placed the items in a brown paper bag on her car and left them for not more than 10 minutes, and when she returned, the items were gone. Mrs. Geis is hoping that those who took the items will leave them somewhere in public so they can be returned to the church.
