Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Condict Jr., Keith and Ellen left Saturday morning for their home in Palmer, Alaska, after spending 18 days with her mother, Marie Plett, and family, relatives and friends.
Construction is slated to start June 1 on the West Grand Street improvement project if plans materialize on schedule.
Delton Klassen of Hillsboro was among 11 students at Kansas State University who inducted into the Financial Management Association Honor Society (FMA). Klassen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Klassen of Hillsboro. He is a 1974 graduate of Hillsboro High School.

A Fort Riley soldier has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the August slaying of rural Tampa residents. Joseph Brigman, 21, is accused of the shooting deaths of Dennis Armstrong, 31, and his wife, Evelyn, 28.
