One hundred seventeen enthusiastic gymnasts ages 5 through 17 have enrolled for the Hillsboro Recreation sponsored gymnastics program. The number of participants more than doubled last year's response according to Glenn Suderman, city recreation director. Instructors are Kim Hartter and Crystal Weems.

Sandy Funk scored 26 points of the team's 42 points as the Hillsboro Junior High girls polished off Peabody 42-20 in the first round of the Flint Hills Junior League Tournament Saturday.
