USD 410 dropped 56.4 full-time equivalency (FTE) students from last year, according to the final enrollment count made by superintendent Dr. Robert C. Brown. The head count dropped 55 students, from 677 to 622.

The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Funk will be celebrated with an open house Sunday, Oct. 8, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Trinity Mennonite Church. John J. Funk and Eva Pankratz were married Oct. 6, 1928, at Goessel.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Schroeder of Hillsboro announce the arrival of their son, Marc Scott, born Sept. 22 at Salem Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. He has a sister, Jana, 3.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Harder of Elkhart, Ind., announce the arrival of a daughter, Ruth Rebecca, on Sept. 19. Their other children are Scott David, Timothy James, and Katherine Joan.

Emery Wiens and Wilmer Bartel, both of Hillsboro, are majoring in agricultural engineering at Kansas State University in Manhattan this fall.

The family of the late Tobias H. Unruh celebrated family day Sunday, Sept. 24.
