Miss Darlene Klaassen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman D. Klaassen of Hillsboro, became the bride of Malvin Wesley Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew H. Schmidt of Hillsboro, Sunday afternoon at the Mennonite Brethren Church.

Mr. and Mrs. D.D. Regier have moved from 217 S. Adams to 305 S. Main.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Arnold attended the State Cosmetology Convention at the Lassen Hotel in Wichita Sunday.

M.Sgt. and Mrs. Allen E. Klassen and son Luther from Fort Riley spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Klassen.

Lewis Hagen has received his discharge from the Marines and arrived home Wednesday. He has been stationed at Camp Pendelton, Oceanside, Calif.

Mrs. Julia Berg returned home Saturday from Newton where she spent the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Boehnke. Mrs. Menno Gaede of Reedley, Calif., was a Saturday afternoon guest of Mrs. Berg.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Jost and family moved to Lincoln, Neb., the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Washmon will move into the Jost house on S. Birch and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Leschke will move into the house now occupied by the Washmons.

Ronney Ewert scored a total of 92 points out of a possible 100 in the FFA Leadership School held at Buhler on Oct. 1. The score of 92 ranked Ronney in eighth place among the 126 participants competing in the contest.

The Scout Carnival will be held at the skating rink at 7 p.m. on Oct. 9.
