Leonard Schmidt who is in the U.S. Navy was on the winning bowling team for the season and each member received a trophy and $12 in cash.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete H. Hiebert and Mrs. Jake Williams visited Mr. and Mrs. Abe Williams in Peabody Sunday afternoon.

John Moore of K-State was home several days last week with a case of the measles.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Johnson and baby were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Thiessen.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ebel and children were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gruber in Hope.

Wesley Loewen and Jake Voth of the Loewen Radio attended a three-day Zenith Radio television school in Wichita last week.

Miss Linda Friesen has been absent from her work at Heins for several days on account of illness.

Three new families have moved to Hillsboro: Mr. and Mrs. Art Jacobs and their two sons from Newton; Mr. and Mrs. F.T. Berry and their two pre-school age children from Newton; and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Weibert from Durham.

Sgt. Florian Krotz, who has recently returned to the U.S. from 18 months service in Korea, and Mrs. Krotz and son have been honored with several dinners the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Beltz and children and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Zimmerman and daughters were dinner guests Monday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ratzlaff.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foth, Ronald and Rodney Cornelsen and Larry White attended the student rally at Enterprise Academy last Saturday afternoon. In the evening the amateur hour was enjoyed by approximately 500 people.
