Professor Ben J. Wiens, head of the department of education at Tabor college, has announced his resignation. Wiens intends to continue graduate work toward his doctorate in education at Colorado College of Education in Greeley, Colo.

Larry Penner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Penner, and Wayne Wiens, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Wiens, are in Wichita this week attending Wichita High School North.

The following men will go for induction June 23: Eugene Vogt, Glenn Goertz, and Frankie Vogt all of Hillsboro.

Sgt. Lewis Hagen of Camp Pendleton, Calif., came Sunday to spend a 15-day leave with his parents. He came especially to be with his father, Mr. John Hagen, who is critically ill in the Salem Hospital.

Mrs. Darryld Lowen was honored with a cradle shower Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Carol Walter. Hostesses were Mrs. Walter, Mrs. Harold Pankratz and Mrs. Garland Ballard.

Lt. Richard Franz, who received his wings June 1 at Victoria Air Force Base in Texas, arrived home Tuesday to spend a 15-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Franz. Richard transferred to Aviation Cadet Training 13 months ago and received his commission the first of May
