The water restrictions have not been removed so will you please note the days for watering. The streets east of Main Street will water on the odd numbered days of the week, and the streets west of Main will water on the even numbered days of the week.

Walter Hambleton left Wednesday morning for Sycamore where he will spend his vacation with his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Menno Harder entertained at Sunday dinner. Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Dan Buller of Henderson, Neb., and Mrs. Mary Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Buller came to Hillsboro to attend the 35th wedding anniversary of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buller.

Students from Hillsboro who have enrolled at the University of Kansas in Lawrence include Gerhard George Ens, Hulda D. Ens, Herbert H. Friesen, Wilmer Allen Harms, Ann Eileen Kellen, Otto Lohrenz, Norman Seibel, Harvey Ruben Wall, and Wilbur E. Janzen.

Mr. and Mrs. Vic Schneider and girls from Los Angeles, Calif., stopped in Hillsboro to visit friends Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Schneider had just returned from a three-month trip to Europe. Mr. Schneider is a former resident of Hillsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hodel and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bernhardt and children, and Carol Klein enjoyed a picnic supper in Memorial Park Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Harms, Linda Jean, and Beverly Ann moved into their hew home at 112 S. Washington Tuesday. The home will be completed in about 10 days.

Mr. C.C. Rice, who was elected county Superintendent of public instruction last November, will assume the duties of the office next Monday noon.
