Miss Clara Hugos left Sunday for Kansas City where she visited the market.
Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Goertz were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Granada in Emporia Sunday afternoon.
Diane and Norman Galle of Moundridge visited from Sunday until Tuesday afternoon with Anne and David Janzen.
Leland Nuss was injured Tuesday evening in a soft ball game here between the Lutheran and Brudertal teams. X-rays showed that his knee cap was broken. He underwent surgery Wednesday. The accident occurred at first base at the last out when another player ran into him.
Virgil Litke, son of W.W. Litke of Hillsboro, was badly bruised and cut when he was run over by a tractor plow Wednesday morning. Virgil was plowing on the Matz land east of Hillsboro when the spring on the tractor seat broke and he fell between the tractor and the plow while they were in motion.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ebel and children attended a birthday surprise party for Mrs. Ebel's mother, Mrs. Fred Gruber, at Hope Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Florian Krotz and Charles and Mrs. Lena Hornbaker enjoyed home made ice cream with Mr. and Mrs. Ben L. Penner and Janice Tuesday evening.
Bob Janzen, Bob Stratman, Floyd Seitz, and David Wiens are attending Boy Scout Camp at Ta-Wa-Ko-Ni this week.
Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Pankratz and Mrs. Lawrence Bale returned Friday from a four-week stay in California. Lieut. Bale left for Korea from Camp Stoneman, Calif., on July 6.
