Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weaver and boys were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Matthews and family, Miss Clara Pearson and Gene Pearson all of Junction City.

Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Wiens and Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wiens and boys of McClane spent the weekend with Franklin Wiens, who is stationed at Camp Leonard Wood, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Loewen will return the latter part of this week from their vacation trip to Winnipeg, Canada, where they attended a family reunion.

Mr. and Mrs. Darryld Lowen are the parents of a daughter born Tuesday, July 21, at Salem Hospital She weighed 6 pounds 11 1/2 ounces and has been named Dana.

Mrs. Milford Nickel is spending the week in Salina with Mr. Nickel.

Miss Cindy Goering was a Saturday evening caller at the P.F. Hansen home, visiting Miss Vicki Jenssen.

Mr. and Mrs. Herold Regier and boys were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin C. Schmidt and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Scharping spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hiebert at Cassoday. Kay Frances who spent the past two weeks there returned home with her parents and Stanley remained for a longer visit.

The P.T.A. book exchange committee requests that all high school and grade school students who wish to sell their used school books please bring them to the high school Friday morning from 9 to 11 a.m.

Harry Dyck purchased the interest of his partner, Herbert Nickel, in the H & H Trading Post. The business was formerly owned by D.J. Klassen. The store name will be changed to Harry's Bargain Store, and Harry will continue to trade, buy and sell used furniture, appliances and household goods.
