The Hillsboro Fire Department and the city of Hillsboro are proud of a new large fire truck which was delivered the latter part of last week. The new fire wagon is one of the latest type Ford trucks purchased from the Cornelson Motor Co.
The Junior Mentor Study Club met Tuesday evening at the home of Edna Regehr.
Mr. and Mrs. John Vogt and children were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Unruh.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kizler of Wichita were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Herbel.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vogt and girls were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Wiens.
Jake Loewen and Levi Buller made a business trip to Pratt and Great Bend Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bernhardt and children were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vogt Sunday.
Mrs. J.E. Rempel visited at the Ernest Rempel home at Peabody Sunday afternoon.
Mr. John Jost and family were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Jake K. Jost.
Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Stratman had as guests Sunday, honoring Billy D. on his christening, Rev. and Mrs. K.E. Juengei and Anita; Mrs. Frank Roesler and Mr. and Mrs. Layton Roesler, Becky, Babs, Pat and Jan, of Claflin; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Schroeder and Kenneth of Newton; Miss Peggy Stratman of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Washmon and daughters.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krabees, DP's from Germany, sponsored by the Adventist Church, arrived in Newton Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foth met them and brought them to Hillsboro. They are living at 218 S. Adams.
