Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Razor, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bartel and Dr. and Mrs. W.M. Thies attended the Barbershop Parade at the Fox Theatre in Hutchinson Friday evening. The Blendaires of Newton were on this program, and the Four Kernels of Omaha, Neb., were the main feature of the event.

Mrs. E.J. Penner honored Mrs. Fred Foth and Mrs. Fred Becker with a birthday dinner Monday evening. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foth, Mrs. Fred Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Krebs and Mr. Penner. At the close of the evening, Mrs. Penner served birthday walnut chiffon cake and Jell-O.

Miss Berniece Klassen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Klassen of Lehigh, left Wednesday for California where she will sail in February for Japan to take up her duties as missionary.

Mrs. Bill Buller surprised her husband on his birthday Sunday by having several friends over in the evening for a pinochle party. Those invited were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ratzlaff, Mr. and Mrs. Ed F. Jost, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Herdt, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Plenert and Josephine Friesen. Mr. and Mrs. George Knak called later in the evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick King and son of Stillwater, Okla., moved into the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ewert at 508 S. Main.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bernhardt, Barbara and Kenny and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Vogt were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vogt Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ebel and children spent Sunday at Hope with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gruber.
