Ronald Cornelsen who is attending Union College in Lincoln, Neb., came by bus to Manhattan Friday evening where he met Keith Ashcraft, and the boys came to Hillsboro to spend the weekend with their parents.

Tuesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller were Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Hein, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hein, Pearl and Bob, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hein, Mrs. Hanna Hein and Mr. Jake Hein, all of Durham.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob E. Wiens and son, Pfc. Franklin M. Wiens of Camp Rucker, Ala., attended a family gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Wiens and boys at McClain Sunday.

A potluck dinner honoring Glen Goertz was held Sunday at the home of his parents. Pvt. Goertz, who had been stationed at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver, spent a five-day furlough in Hillsboro before leaving for Camp Stoneman, Calif., and overseas duties in the Far East.

More than 100 fathers joined their sons in a fellowship dinner sponsored by the HHS Hi-Y last Tuesday in the grade school auditorium. Highlight of the program was a speech by Erwin Goering.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ollek and LeRoy Seitz motored to Winfield Saturday to get Kenneth Ollek and Shirley Berg who spent the weekend with their parents.
