Graduation exercises for all one-teacher schools, Gordon and Brudertal, will be held in the Marion City Building auditorium Friday, May 14, beginning at 8. Professor A.R. Ebel from Tabora college will give the address of the evening entitled "It's about Time."
Miss Mary Ann Loewen, who has been seriously ill in the St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, was able to return to her home in Hillsboro Monday and is recovering satisfactorily.
Rev. and Mrs. J.C. Grunau attended the Son Festival at Enid, Okla., Sunday. They left Saturday noon and returned Sunday evening.
Dr. and Mrs. L.J. Franz attended the Mennonite Brethren Sunday School Convention on the Phillips University campus at Enid, Okla., Saturday. Dr. Franz spoke at one of the sessions.
Miss Lueta Bartel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bartel of the Brudertal community, was awarded a $200 scholarship at the annual spring frolic at Kansas State College last week.
Mrs. Jac. Bartel spent about 10 days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Warren Regier near Moundridge taking care of Kathy who was nursing the mumps. Mrs. Regier's school closed last week.
