The Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce will again be host to the annual party for the grade school and kindergarten children of the city. The chamber provides the funds and prizes for the school, but the program of entertainment is left up to the faculty and the students.

Miss Clara Hugos has just finished remodeling her store building. Both the inside and outside of the building have been changed.

The P.F. Vogt Lumber Company is in the progress of rebuilding and remodeling their office building. The building has been raised and put on a higher foundation and turned halfway around for the long way being north and south. A new addition will be constructed on the west side.

The 1954 models of the new DeSoto will go on display in the show rooms of Groening Motor Company Thursday of next week.

Scoring one touchdown in each quarter before a homecoming crowd, the Peabody Warriors, co-leaders of the Cottonwood Valley League, dumped in the Hillsboro Trojans by a score of 27 to 0.

The Hillsboro Police Department has had many complaints about dogs running loose. The city has an ordinance that states that dogs are to be tied 12 months of the year. The Police Department reminds residents to follow the ordinance.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hodel and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jost and children left last Thursday for Dinuba, Calif., to attend the wedding of Miss Evelyn Friesen of Dinuba to Mr. LaVerne Hodel.

Eldon Laubhan called home Thursday night that he was boarding the ship that night to sail to Germany and he expects to be in Germany for 16 months.
