An employee of the Kansas Cooperative Creamery, egg house division, got a major shock last week when doing the routine work of candling eggs. The egg case being worked on yielded some things that have "no yolks" — $1,000 in currency, some valuable papers, and two watches in an old purse. The owner was quickly notified and seemed happy to have the property returned. It seems that the egg case had been used as a place of security during storms when the family retired to the cellar, and although the owner knew that the currency, papers, and watches had not been removed from the previous storm cellar visits, the egg case was inadvertently sent to market.
