A.A. Etizen, 92, died Sunday morning in the Mission Home after a brief illness. A pioneer in this section, Mr. Eitzen was born Sept. 24 in the Ukraine of Europe and came to the U.S. at age 14. He farmed in this area most of his life. He is survived by nine sons.
Last Monday evening, Mayor Charles Thresher attended the Kiwanis club meeting and dinner in the basement of the K.U.B. Church. He had driven his Hudson car to the church and parked it just north of the church. After the meeting was over, he went to get into his car and found it was gone. Just as he was going to call the police, someone drove up in his car and parked it by the church. The other fellow (we will not name him — but he is an absent-minded professor) had mistakenly taken Thresher's car instead of his own.
"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" is now playing at the KAW in Marion.
