"Mental Health" will be the program topic at Monday night's meeting of the Y. W. C. A. on Jan. 17. Mr. Harold Vogt of the Prairie View Hospital in Newton will be the guest speaker.
Funeral services for Norman Seibel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Seibel of 213 South Jefferson, Hillsboro, were held Sunday afternoon, January 9, in the Hillsboro High school auditorium with an estimated crowd of more than 2,000 people in attendance.
The new municipal swimming pool under construction at the Memorial Park here received a good shot of cement last Saturday when the "Big Pour" was completed in just eight hours.
Tabor College journeyed to Great Bend last Saturday where they took part in the Mid-Kansas Collegiate Conference tournament and dropped both of their games in the four-college event. Kansas Tech won the tournament defeating St. Marys of Dodge City in the finals.

Loren Jost celebrated his eighth birthday on Saturday, Jan. 8. Guests who came to his birthday party were Ronnie Lowen, Jimmy Unruh, Jay Dennis Schmidt, Tommy Plett, and Francis Funk. Mrs. Harold Jost served refreshments after an afternoon of games.
