Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Harms left for Dallas, Texas, Saturday for a visit with relatives of Mrs. Harms.
Mr. and Mrs. D.D. Longhofer were Christmas Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dalke and family.
Lewis Lange has received his discharge from the Army and came to Hillsboro to spend the holidays with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. P.R. Lange.
Mrs. L.G. Jaeger and Gordon went to Lawrence Wednesday to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jaeger. They also visited Rev. and Mrs. O.V. McProud in Topeka.
Christmas dinner guests of Mrs. J.P. Harms were Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Ediger and Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Ediger and children of Hillsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Harms of Toketee Falls, Ore., and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ediger and children and Mr. and Mrs. Joel Ediger and Larry Joel of Hutchinson.
Mr. and Edmumd Scharping went to Kansas City Wednesday to spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy MacMurchy and Susan. Susan returned home with them Sunday and will spend a week with her grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Vogt have purchased the Wheel-In Café on the highway east of town from Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Plenert. They will take possession Jan. 15. Ray returned to Peoria, Ill., to resign his position there. He is an experienced café and hotel chef. Mr. and Mrs. Plenert will operate the Plenert Café at 112 E. Grand.
Paul Lange accompanied John Janzen to Tuscon, Ariz., Sunday and will spend this week there. Paul is teaching in Formoso this winter. John had spent the holidays with his father, Mr. Frank Janzen.
