Mrs. Violetta Groening, proprietor of the Groening Motor Co., announced last week that her firm is changing from Conoco gasoline and oils to Skelly products.

Mrs. Ezra Suderman has been receptionist in the office of Dr. M.B. Willems for the past six weeks.

A farewell courtesy was given for Mrs. Gerald Beaman Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Harry Helmer with Mrs. Roland Reiswig as co-hostess. Those invited for the occasion were Mrs. Ed Wiederstein, Mrs. Ralph Bengtson, Mrs. W.M. Thies, Mrs. Norton Goertz, Mrs. Herold Regier, Mrs. Robert Dalke, Mrs. W.E. Penner, Mrs. B.F. Pankratz, Mrs. Ennis Unruh, Mrs. Beaman, and the hostesses.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Balzer and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wiebe entertained at a buffet super and pinochle at the Wiebe home Saturday evening. The guest list included all the high school faculty members who are leaving and Superintendent and Mrs. Herold Regier.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Jost and boys were luncheon guests Sunday of Mrs. H. L. Hiebert and girls.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Jost and family, Mrs. Martin Jost and Miss Bonnie Schafer were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Krause.

The Hillsboro School Board hired Mr. Richard Krysl and Mr. Guy L. "Jack" Sharp for the 1953-54 school year. Krysl will teach instrumental music, and Sharp will teach physical education and physical education and coach.

Mrs. Frank Penner, who has been visiting relatives in California and Washington since November, returned home Friday evening.
