The Hilton elevator north of McPherson on the Union Pacific line has been sold for a second time and will re-open for business next Monday. Menno Harder and John Hagen, both of Hillsboro, have purchased the elevator.

Mr. T.W. Wiseman and Norton Goertz have established a new sales company in Hillsboro and San Antonio, Texas, for the distribution of Vapo Swat and Vapo Tab, the complete automatic insect control, which has been franchised to the Southwest Vapor chemical Col., of Kansas and Texas.

Miss Jetta Hiebert left Monday night from Salina for Dallas, Ore., where she will spend the summer with her aunt, Mrs. E.A. Falming, Dr. Flaming and children.

Mr. and Mrs. John Brandt of 113 S. Birch in Hillsboro celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 1, 1952, at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.

The American Legion will sponsor a business booster carnival June 6 and 7 at Memorial Air Park.

The Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce sponsored the chartering of a 40-paassenger bus to the Eisenhower homecoming in Abilene on Wednesday. General Eisenhower's train arrived in Abilene at 12:20. Eisenhower gave a short speech, and the cornerstone was placed for the Eisenhower Memorial.
