Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Janzen announce the sale of their jewelry business this week to Mr. and Mrs. Don Mize of Alma. Mr. Mize is a graduate of Bradley University Watchmaker's School and has been in business several years for himself.

Miss Amanda Thiessen of Newton spent the weekend with her sister Miss Agatha Thiessen.

Miss Betty Esau, a graduating senior at Friends University, was recognized at commencement service as one who received the honor given to members of the Order of the Tower. The Order of the Tower is an organization which admits to membership those graduates who have made exceptional scholastic achievement during their school years.

Mr. and Mrs. John Vogt and children spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Neal and family of Hamilton, Mo.

Mrs. Jack Vogt and Debra Ann of Marion spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Vogt.

Dr. and Mrs. N.E. Abrahams and family returned on Memorial Day from a vacation trip to Carlsbad Caverns, N.M.; Jaurez, Old Mexico; and Colorado.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Friesen left Friday for Denver, Colo., where they will be employed in the General Hospital. They are in alternative service for two years.
