The marriage of Miss Irma Ratzlaff and Bennie Koop was solemnized June 10 at 7 o'clock in the Bethel Mennonite Brethren Church in Balko, Okla. The bride has been teaching school. The bridegroom is engaged in farming near Hillsboro where the couple will make their home.
Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Friesen returned Monday night from Chicago. They attended the Kiwanis convention in St. Louis and from there drove to Chicago on a buying trip.
Rev. and Mrs. P.R. Lange and family took their son, Sgt. Louis Lange, to Oklahoma City Monday where he will be stationed at Tinker Air Field for the next six months.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Kliewer and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hodel and family spent Sunday evening in Lindsborg.
Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Scharping spent the weekend in Kansas City, and Mrs. LeRoy MacMurchy and Susan Fae returned with them for a few days visit. Mr. MacMurchy came Wednesday, and they will return home Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Beltz and children, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bernhardt and children, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bentz of Durham and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klein and Kathy of Tampa had a picnic at the lake Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jost and family and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Batt and family of Marion and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Delk of Hillsboro were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Heinrichs.
Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Warkentin returned home Wednesday afternoon from Wichita where Mr. Warkentin had been a patient in the Southwest Osteopathic Hospital for several days.
