The home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schultz was the scene of an open house to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Schultz. Approximately 170 relatives and friends were registered by Peggy Schultz, daughter of the couple.

Cindy Goering was five years old Aug. 17 and enjoyed a birthday party with several friends. Those present included Patty and Dougie Penner, Rita Jo and Gordon Beltz, Patty Harms, Kathy Davis, Bobby Dalke, Dale Regier and Lonnie Winter.

Dr. and Mrs. H.A. Penner and Prof. and Mrs. Ben Wiens and Sandra motored to Inman Sunday evening to bid farewell to Prof. and Mrs. Paul Wohlgemuth and son Steven Paul. They were joined by Prof. and Mrs. L.R. Just and Prof. and Mrs. Emil Thiessen. The Wohlgemuths are leaving for Oklahoma shortly and from there will leave for California where Mr. Wohlgemuth will continue graduate study at UCLA.

The twenty-second annual Marion County Fair opened Tuesday morning with exhibits scattered all over the business section. The cattle show is one of the largest in recent years. In the 4-H division, about 75 head of beef and dairy animals are being shown.
