Mrs. Ella Warkentin has leased the Plenert Café at 112 E. Grand and will take possession Sept. 1. Mrs. Warkentin has been employed in the café for several years.

Mrs. Herman Cornelsen, Mrs. Roy Wait and Jean and Sally Anderson were supper guests Saturday of Miss Justina Nikkel.

Mr. and Mrs. Menno Harder and family spent several days in Colorado Springs last week.

Alex Stratman and son Bob D. and Mr. Jac. Hodel left Saturday night to spend a week fishing in Minnesota.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ebel and son returned to their home in Bloomfield, Neb., last Tuesday after spending the summer here.

The A.A. Klassen family reunion will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at Springfield Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Jac. Bartel returned home last Wednesday from a trip to Oklahoma. They took Mr. Ben Horn to his home in Corn and also attended the National Rural Letter Carriers meeting in Stillwater. They came home by the way of Coffeyville where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bartel and children.

Miss Phyllis Hiebert, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. J.N.C. Hiebert, left Tuesday via Newton for Fresno, Calif. where she will teach music in the Fresno schools.

Mr. and Mrs. Loren Nuss, Bradley and Stanley of Topeka were Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Ratzlaff.

Mr. and Mrs. H.N. Goertz drove to Hot Springs, Ark., Saturday. They will return Thursday.

Archie Kliewer, a Tabor alumnus and native of Ulysses, will be the instrumental instructor, directing the college band and teaching voice at Tabor College.
