The Hillsboro Public Schools report 500 students enrolled for the 1952-53 school year.

Larry and John Moore and Johnnie Mark Plenert left Saturday for Manhattan where they will attend school.

Daniel H. Schmidt left Sunday morning for Manhattan where he is enrolled at the State College. John Dalke accompanied him on the trip.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Walter and Sandra were Sunday guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wilson in Abilene.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Balzer, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Smith and children, and Superintendent and Mrs. Herold Regier and sons were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Beaman and family at a backyard picnic Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Toews and girls were guests at a fish fry at the Rudy Thye home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Art Pauls of McPherson were evening guests.

Yvonne Jost and Shirley Hiebert are enrolled at Bethel College.

Mrs. Irvin Jost attended the farm sale Monday of her parents, G.D. Ensz, at Inman.

Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Wiens were joined by about 50 guests in their home for a short program in the celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary.

Miss Florence Hiebert and Mrs. Peggy Stratman DeForest of Hillsboro were members of the graduating class of September 1952 of the Wesley Hospital School of Nursing.

Miss Florence Hefley returned Sunday of last week from a two weeks' automobile trip to the East coast. She and Kathryn Popp and Wilma Geis of Marion and Maryann Kohman of Hope make the trip together.
