Robert Wall, 6-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wall, was treated at Salem Hospital for a cut lip he received while playing with his dog.

Mr. Ennis Unruh, who has been employed by the Farmer's Equipment Co., for several years, received word last Thursday that he had been appointed as rural carrier on route 2 out of Hillsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mohn entertained the following guests at a waffle supper Saturday evening: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hamm of Tampa, Mr. and Mrs. Mohn and Calvin, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Hamm and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pankratz all of Durham. The occasion was in honor of Oliver Mohn's birthday.

Mr. Alvin Funk and Ray left Sunday morning to attend the Gambel-Skagmo Sales convention in Omaha, Neb.

Prof. Wesley J. Prieb took his journalism class to Wichita on Jan. 8 to visit the Wichita Eagle publishing plant. Gary Herbel, Jim Wiens, Calvin Seibert and Don Krause accompanied Prof. Prieb.

Wilmer E. Goering, local attorney, successful candidate for the office of county attorney, took over the duties of the office at noon on Monday.

Racking up their fifth consecutive league win, the Hillsboro boy's basketball team topped the boys from Cottonwood Falls with a 47-39 victory Monday night.
