Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Eitzen attended the District Dental Convention at the Broadview Hotel in Wichita Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben L. Penner and Janice were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bromley in Herington.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith, Linda and Larry had as Sunday guests Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simonson and Paulette of Wichita and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith of Louisburg.
Miss Naomi Schellenberg and Miss Esther Kasper attended the state teachers' convention at Topeka Thursday and Friday. They were weekend guests of Miss Schellenberg's parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.F. Schellenberg of Baldwin and on Saturday went to the K.U.-Nebraska football game.
Parents and patrons of the Hillsboro School District, No. 82, are urged to vote on Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Hillsboro City Hall. A majority vote in favor of issuing bonds up to $175,000 will provide needed improvements and equipment in the Hillsboro school system. The bond issue will make possible a modern home economics department, turning the present basement rooms over to the grade school.
