Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Ashcraft and Mr. and Mrs. Tal G. Hiebert will be the staff of Hillsboro's new newspaper, The Star-Journal, starting Dec. 14.

Miss Dorothy Lange who is attending Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif., is expected home this weekend to spend the Christmas holidays with her parents Mr. and Mrs. P.R. Lange and family.

A. E. Janzen and Philip left Sunday afternoon for Old Mexico where they will transact business.

Jim Funk and a friend from the Smoky Hill Air Base spent Monday with Mrs. Art Funk.

Karen and Connie Jost of Marion were Sunday dinner and afternoon guests of Dennis and Kristine Heinrichs.

Mrs. Johnnie Bartel accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Junior Lake to Wichita Saturday where she spent the day with Mrs. Virgil Krueger and girls.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Funk, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Funk and family spent Sunday in Ransom with Mr. and Mrs. John Mishler and boys.

Mrs. Frieda Nickel who lives with her father on South Ash left Tuesday for Walnut Hill, Fla. She drove the family car for Mrs. Clifford Fast and children of Halstead who were moving to Florida. Mrs. Nickel will visit her uncle and family the P.G. Hieberts at Walnut Hill and other relatives.
