Mrs. Gerhard J. Klassen expects her husband to be released from the Bethel Hospital this week. He had undergone a very serious operation.
Miss Sharon Klassen of Wichita spent the past week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Klassen. Her parents came for dinner on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Reimer and Darla and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wall and family were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil F. Bartel and family.
Mrs. D. G. Hiebert and Mrs. G. W. Suderman left Monday morning for California to visit relatives and friends. They accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiens who were here for the Bible conference.
Mrs. Freda Smith of Hillsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith of Marion will leave Saturday night for San Diego, Calif., for a short visit with Harold Smith who is in the Navy and will leave the latter part of next week for his second trip to Korea. Mrs. Harold Smith, who has been living in San Diego, will return to Kansas with them.
Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Mrs. Anna Kasper gathered at the D.P. Kasper home on Thursday evening to honor Mrs. Kasper on her 85th birthday. During the evening Mrs. Frank Conyers, Lingle, Wyo., called to wish her mother a happy birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Art. H. Seibel and three sons are leaving here this week and moving to a farm near Robinson which is in the northeastern part of the state. The van which was to come Tuesday for their household goods was delayed because of the weather. Mr. and Mrs. Seibel, who have lived south of Hillsboro for 16 years, and their family will be missed in this community.
