With crowd estimates running all the way from 20 to 30 thousand for the four days of the Marion County Fair last week, fair officials were agreed that the attendance was particularly high, a pleasant surprise in the face of the terrific heat which stayed with the fair each day.

An increase of six over the enrollment during August for Hillsboro High School has brought the total to 184. There are 42 seniors, 47 juniors, 50 sophomores, and 45 freshmen.

Mrs. Donald Reimer and her infant daughter Donna left Hillsboro Tuesday for Wichita where they boarded a plane on their way to Germany to join her husband who is stationed with the U.S. Army there. They will make their home in Erlangen. Pvt. Reimer has been stationed in Germany for the past eight months.

Miss Ruth Franzen left Wednesday for Lawrence where she will teach in the home economics department of KU.

Mrs. Joan Rector and children have moved from Durham to 308 North Jefferson in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro Police officers have asked that all citizens be particularly careful to observe the speed zones surrounding the public schools. They regret that many people are driving entirely too fast in these 15-mile-per-hour zones and that they are of necessity handing out tickets to offenders.
