The congregation of Zion Lutheran Church will dedicate their new house of worship in special services Sept. 19. The initial dedication service of the recently completed structure will begin at 10 a.m. Seating capacity for the new church runs from 235 to 380, and the approximate cost of the building, furnishings, and fixtures is $110,000.

Approximately 125 Cub Scouts, Cub Scouts-to-be, and their families turned out for one of the largest such get-togethers in Hillsboro's history of Cub Scouting Tuesday evening in Memorial Park.

The Hillsboro Beauty Shop, a new Hillsboro business, will hold its official opening Sept. 18 during the hours between 2 and 5 p.m. Ruby June Suderman, owner and operator of the new establishment which is located in Hugos Store, is a graduate of Frederico Beauty College, Fresno, Calif.

Prof. S. L. Loewen, registrar and admissions officer at Tabor College, reports that 232 young people have enrolled as of Sept. 14. This compares with an enrollment of 201 during the 1953 fall semester. At present there are 110 freshmen, 55 sophomores, 22 juniors, 26 seniors, six graduates, and 13 special students.

Three new businesses held open houses last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Janzen estimate 800 people toured their new Hillsboro Dry Cleaners. Mrs. Frank Krause, owner of Hillsboro Floral and Gift Shop, gave away 500 carnations and asters to visitors. Joel Franz, new owner of the Dari-Ette, was kept busy until midnight with his buy-one-get-one-free offer.
