On Saturday, Duane and Shirley Hamm attended the 40th Garlow family reunion at Hazelton. There were approximately 45 in attendance. They also had a reception for Shirley's brother's, Merle Gates, 80th birthday in connection with the reunion.

Delton Ollenburger from Moundridge and his daughter Lori from New York were Monday luncheon guests at Hannah Ollenburger's. In the afternoon, they visited Virgil and Jean Oblander and Wayne and Carol Ollenburger.

Kim and Delora Kaufman of Hillsboro and Jesse and Anthony Kaufman of Newton were weekend guests at Denny and Joshua Johnson's at Auburn.

Lois Nuss and Sheila Nuss flew to Ontario, Calif., where they were houseguests at Sheila's sister and husband, Phil and Cheryl Liptak. While there, they visited Ratzlaff cousins and other family and friends.

On Thursday evening, Jay and Luella Burkhart from Newton visited at the Paul Pankratzes.

Malvin and Darlene Schmidt of rural Hillsboro met their friends Ted and Alvina Janzen of rural Lehigh and Jake and Mary Richert of Henderson, Neb., in Concordia, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversaries by having dinner together in Concordia. They had all been married within a few months in the same year.

Malvin and Darlene Schmidt were honored guests for their 50th anniversary which was Oct. 4 on Oct. 11 with a supper at Old Town Café. Other family attending were their son, Jerry Schmidt from Salina and Kelly Schmidt of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island; their daughter, Malvina Heinrichs and granddaughter Brittani Heinrichs from Oahu Hawaiian Island; their daughter-in-law, Jean Schmidt from Friday Harbor, Wash.; their grandsons, Eric Heinrichs from Tulsa, Okla., and Jeremy Schmidt from Redstone Arsenal, Ala., and his fiancée, Abbey Kornelson from McPherson.
