Round the Town: Bartel/Klaassen clan celebrate reunion

John and Tracy Sandl and family from the Chicago, Ill., area visited at the home of Jason and Rachel Mohn on Wednesday and Thursday.
Deliah Deckert recently attended the Deckert family reunion in eastern Montana.
The Bartel and Klaassen families had a reunion Sunday at Parkview Fellowship Activity Center. Family there were Elgin and Rubena Bartel, Milford and Janell Klaassen and family, Roland and Melissa Bartel, Rob and Tina Delk and boys, Elaine Leppke, Craig and Carol Leppke, Ryan and Lena Kleiner and family, Donna and Dan Dalke, and Dale and Janna Dalke and family, all from Hillsboro.
Other guests included Kevin Klaassen and family from Big Springs, Texas, Zack Bartel of Great Bend, Dick and Barbara Koonz of Newton, Shirley Delk and daughter, also of Newton, Nathan Koontz and son from Park City, Bob and Dorothy Delk from Marion, John and Diedria Cramer, Ron and Loretta Paxton, Tyler and Dianne Ewert and Andrew, and Keith and Kay Bartel, all of Wichita, Jeff and Michele Pierson and children from Hayesville, and Ron and Faith Klaassen and Jonathan from Newark, N.J.
Norma Ballard from Topeka spent some time with her sister and husband, Shirley and Duane Hamm.
On Monday, Albert Christenson and family from Wichita had lunch with Duane and Shirley Hamm.
Members of the late Abe and Minnie Pankratz family had a pot luck dinner in Newton on Sunday. Family there included Tim and Donna Diener and Paul and Arlene Pankratz of Hillsboro; Ron and Dora Unruh from Durham; Herb and Trudy Pankratz of Abilene; Elmer and Dorothy Seibel and Jay and Luella Burkhart of Newton; Althea Zimmerman and Lee Allen Zimmerman from Missouri; Jay Zimmerman from Oklahoma; James and Beverly Buller and Geneive Buller from Enid, Oklahoma; and Gerald and Loreta Seibel, Jake and Julie from Kechi.
Evening guests joined the Paul Pankratz family for homemade ice cream to celebrate Tim Diener's birthday. Those there were Tim, Donna, and Marissa Diener of Hillsboro, Ken Pankratz of Durham, and Kent and Emily Nichols of Hesston.
