'Round the Town: Pastor Zeeb visits

Pastor Milton and Alice Zeeb of Arizona, former intern pastor at Durham Baptist Church, spent several days in the Hillsboro, Tampa, and Durham areas visiting friends. The Durham church had a Wednesday evening fellowship time with them.

Virgil and Jean Oblander attended a birthday party for their great-granddaughter, Harley Oblander, daughter of Chris and Melissa Oblander of Newton.

Jean Oblander attended the Saturday Lutheran Ladies KAOL meeting in Salina.

Duane and Shirley Hamm had her brother, Bob and Dorothy Gates of Laverne, Okla., as weekend guests. Additional supper guests Sunday evening were Dell and Venita Waggner of Sedgwick. Labor Day guests were Albert, Sarah, and Andrew Christenson of Bel Aire.

Julie Arquello of Costa Rica spent a week with her parents, Bill and Betty Meier. Betty, Julie, and Willabeth Gonzales of Newton were weekend houseguests at the Bob and Kathy Cannon home in Kansas City, and visited Betty's sister Eunice Klein at the retirement center.

Larry and Tammy Meysing and boys of Oklahoma City, were weekend guests at Mary Helen Becker.

Pearl Koch and Mary Helen Becker were Sunday afternoon guests at a bridal shower for Todd Becker and Laura Cupps at Marion Christian Church.

Norman and Dot Ensz attended the Thursday evening volleyball game at Maize. Their granddaughter, Stephanie Ens, is a Valley Center player. Stephanie is the daughter of Terry and Joni Ens.

Pearl Koch visited Monday evening at the Paul Pankratzs'.

The Oblander family had a Saturday family reunion at the community center in Durham. Guests were Warren and Janine Oblander, Dag and Neda Schlehuber of Colorado, Ruby Smith and Laurie Ollek of McPherson, Jack and Treva Kerbs and Jim and Carol Hett of Marion, Chris, Melissa, and Harley Oblander, Ed and Susan Omara of Wichita, Jonas and Kim Frantz of Tampa, Virgil and Jean Oblander, Phyllis Neuenschwander of Hillsboro, Robert and Shirley Schroeder, Jessie Zepata and children, and Burt Oblander of Newton.
