Round the Town: Riffel family hosts reunion in Abilene

Wilbur and Florence Hett joined the Riffel family for a picnic in Abilene on Memorial Day. Family attending included the Rick Riffel family of Phillipsburg; the Rod Riffel family of Rose Hill; the Matt Riffel family of Olathe; the Mike Webb family of Pittsburg; the Brennan Riffel family of Sterling; Megan Riffel of Hays; Isaac and Alexa Riffel of Lawrence; the Chad Tishhauser family of White City; Von and Norma Pschigoda of Hope; and Rod and Mary Riffel and Mandi of Rose Hill.

Rachel Mohn's parents, Stanley and Susan Clark of Pennsylvania, spent a week at the home of Jason and Rachel Mohn and family. The Clarks are moving to California.

Lance and Debra Sprick, son and daugther-in-law of the Dave Wieberts, were Weiberts' weekend guests. The Spricks are returning to the Philippines as missionaries. They just spent a year in the States on furlough.

Ladies from Durham Baptist Church hosted a birthday dinner Tuesday at Klose and Kozy for Mary Lancaster, Virginia Fadenrecht, Arlene Pankratz, Lois Nuss, and Doris David. Others present were Frances Unruh, Beverly Elliott, Jane Miller, Betty Meier, Valerie Hampton, Carol Ollenburger, Shirley Hamm, Geraldine Frick, Pearl Koch, Kathy and Olivia Jury, Donna Diener, and Marcella Mohn, all of Hillsboro, and Marilyn Geis from Marion.

Paul and Arlene Pankratz and Donna Diener spent Friday at the home of David and Sherilyn Kadel at rural Randall and with houseguests Jennifer and Austin Price from Aurora, Colo.
