Round the Town: Women attend church at Wichita

Bonnie Fast and Bessie Penner Vogt of Hillsboro attended the installation services Sunday at the Wichita MB Church for their new pastor, Pastor Brent and Joan Warkentin.
Malvin and Darlene Schmidt and Art and Harriet Suderman attended memorial services Aug. 28 for their cousins, Ethel (Hiebert) Aldrich and husband Walter B. Aldrich Jr., at Wheat State Camp in Augusta. The Aldriches died not many days apart. After the memorial service they participated in a family reunion, getting acquainted with family they hadn't seen for some time.
Wednesday evening guests at the home of Elma Warkentin were Marlene Frosses of Phoenix, Ariz., Dee Goertzen of Henderson, Neb., Bob and Coleen Warkentin of Salina, and Lindsey Goertzen and Ron and Clarice Warkentin of Hillsboro.
Mike and Debbie Goossen of Beatrice, Neb., were overnight guests this weekend at the Willis Penner home. They came to enroll their daughter, Amber at Bethel College in Newton.
The Penners and the Penners' children and grandchildren attended the 40th wedding anniversary Sunday for Dan and Joyce Bergen at Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel.
Tim and Donna Diener, Oliver and Marcella Mohn, and Paul and Arlene Pankratz of Hillsboro, Jim Hamm and Morganne of Tampa, and Gaylord and Valera Hamm of Durham took homemade ice cream and cake Thursday evening to the home of Gus and Mildred Hamm near Tampa to celebrate Gus' birthday.
