Abe Heinrichs
Abe H. Heinrichs, 83, of McPherson, died Nov. 21, 2006.
Born Sept. 27, 1923, at Volt, Mont., he was the son of Jacob and Helena (Hiebert) Heinrichs.
On Aug. 1, 1943, he married Virginia Barkman at Dinuba, Calif.
He was a schoolteacher.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia of McPherson; five sons, Roger Heinrichs of Aurora, Colo., Ralph Heinrichs of Wichita, Jack Heinrichs of Emporia, Robert Heinrichs of Ulysses, and Phillip Heinrichs of Hillsboro, Ore.; two daughters, Rosann Carter of Ulysses and Cindy Harris of McPherson; sister, Eva Peabody of Montana; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Dave Plett officiating.
Burial was in Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
A memorial fund has been established with Mennonite Brethren Missions.
