Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Jordan L. Plett, 21, 713 South Washington, Marion, was westbound on 150th just west of Falcon at 4:38 a.m. Oct. 10. Several cows, belonging to Ervin Gosen, 1463 Eagle, Hillsboro, were in the roadway. Plett, driving a 1999 Jeep, was unable to avoid the cows. One was struck and killed, reports Deputy Mike Vineski. No one was injured.

Bonnie M. Vinduska, 61, Route 2, Box 127, Marion, was driving west on U.S.-50 just east of Alfalfa at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 11 when a deer entered the road from the north. Vinduska, driving a 2000 Buick Century, was unable to avoid striking the deer. No one was injured, reports Deputy Aaron Waddell.

Corey D. Eales, 32, 207 W. 16th, Hutchinson, was eastbound on U.S.-50 approaching the four-way stop at U.S.-77. Anna M. Voelker, 58, 428 Grandview, Florence, was southbound on U.S.-77. Voelker, driving a 1992 Dodge Caravan, stopped at the stop sign and entered the intersection. Eales did not stop at the stop sign. Voelker's vehicle struck Eales 1998 GMC Sierra, belonging to Southwest & Associates, Burrton. Voelker had a possible injury, but was not transported, reports Deputy Vineski.
