Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Deborah L. Hughbanks, 49, Rt. 1, Box 34, Lehigh, was southbound on Bison just north of 230th at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 25 when a deer came from the east ditch and struck the left side of the 1997 Dodge Caravan, Hughbanks was driving. The vehicle is owned by Steve L. Hughbanks, of the home. No one was injured, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.

John B. Roach, 47, 3228 Southwood Court, Newton, was westbound on U.S.-50 just west at Turkey Creek at 7:05 p.m. Nov. 28 when a deer came from the south ditch and was hit. Roach was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus with passengers Martha Roach, 42, and Milho Sinchovech,18, of the home. No one was injured, reports Deputy Starkey.

Savannah M. Killough, 18, 5 Fairway Drive, Marion, was southbound on Sunrise just north of 230th at 12:50 a.m. Nov. 9. Killough, driving on loose gravel, lost control of her 2001 Ford Focus, slid into a ditch, and rolled into a field. The vehicle is owned by Janet or Lamon Killough of the home. Deputy Aaron Waddell reports Killough was not injured.

Brad A. Richards, 35, 105 S. Date, Hillsboro was southbound on Indigo just north of 130th at 6 p.m. Nov. 9 when a deer ran into the road and was hit. Richards was driving a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix with passenger Amy M. Richards, 28, of the home. No one was injured, reports Deputy Waddell.

Mark A. Carson, 40, 1973 S. 1900 Rd., Wilsey, was eastbound on U.S.-50 just east of Mustang at 7:03 p.m. Nov. 6. A deer ran into the path of the 1995 Honda Civic he was driving and was hit. Patty A. Carson, 39, and Dustin A. Carson, 18, both of the home were passengers. No injuries were reported, states Deputy Waddell.

Christopher D. Frantz, 36, 404 S. Birch, Hillsboro, was eastbound on 120th just west of Diamond at 12:19 a.m. Nov. 19 when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle and was hit. Frantz was driving a 1997 Plymouth Neon. No one was injured, reports Deputy Waddell.

Rufus P. Lohrenz, 83, 1359 Jade, Hillsboro, was southbound on Indigo just north of 110th at 7 p.m. Nov.18. A deer ran into the path of the 1999 Buick LeSabre Lohrenz was driving and was hit. Lois G. Lohrenz, 73, of the home was a passenger in the vehicle. No injuries were reported, states Deputy Waddell.

William D. Mayfield, 55, 525 S. Cedar, Marion, was northbound on Sunflower just north of 160th at 6:02 p.m. Nov. 11. A deer ran into the path of the 2001 Honda Passport he was driving. Sondra K. Mayfield, 53, of the home was a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured, reports Deputy Waddell.

Silke M. Neuhaus, 25, 401 North B, Ramona, was westbound on 360th just east of Timber at 3 a.m. Nov. 23. Neuhaus, driving a 1999 Mazda Protégé belonging to Deborah and Robert Hare of the home, lost control, entered a ditch, and turned over. David S. Herod, 21, 540 Main, Burdick, was a passenger in the vehicle. Neuhaus was taken by Herington EMS to Herington Hospital and Herod was taken by Tampa Ambulance to Herington Hospital, reports Undersheriff Randall Brazil.
