The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Terry Lynn Unruh, 22, Galva, was eastbound on 240th just west of Bluestem at 9:32 a.m. Sept. 29, traveling between 50 and 55 mph. The right wheels of his 2002 Peterbuilt tractor entered the south ditch. When he tried to get the vehicle back on the road, it overturned and came to rest on its right side in the ditch. The vehicle is registered to Kelly E. Koehn, Galva. Unruh was injured but did not require transport, reports Sheriff Lee Becker.
Macy R. Fadenrecht, 17, 104 North Wilson, Hillsboro, was northbound on Indigo just south of 150th at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 30. Fadenrecht swerved to avoid an animal and lost control of the 2000 Dodge Intrepid he was driving. The vehicle, registered to Kirby or Donna Fadenrecht of the home, entered the west ditch. Fadenrecht was taken by private vehicle to Hillsboro Community Medical Center, reports Undersheriff Randal Brazil.
James Dean Ford, 41, Wichita, was westbound on U.S.-56 at Elm Street, Hillsboro. Ford, driving a 2005 Dodge pickup and pulling a boat and trailer, began to turn onto Elm Street. Another vehicle struck the back of the boat and trailer and left the scene. Passenger in the vehicle was Jesse O. Ford, 9, Wichita. No one was injured, reports Deputy Mike Vineski.
Delores R. Funk, 65, 1750 Mustang, Hillsboro, was westbound on 190th just west of Limestone at 7:05 a.m. Oct. 10. A deer entered the roadway and was struck by Funk's 2003 Chevrolet pickup. Deputy Vineski states Funk was not injured.
