Adolf Schmidt
Adolf Schmidt, 92, died June 7, 2002, in the long term care unit of Hillsboro Community Medical Center. He was a farmer.
Born Dec. 7, 1909, near Hillsboro, he was the son of the late Henry and Eva (Gaede) Schmidt.
On April 12, 1934, he was married to Linda Funk. She is deceased.
He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, where services were held Tuesday afternoon.
Pastor Ken Peterson and the Rev. Gordon Smith were the officiating clergymen.
Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro.
Survivors include sons Richard Schmidt of Topeka, Eddie Schmidt of South Hutchinson, and Leroy Schmidt of Topeka; daughter, Ruth Ann Smith of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Mary Gertz of Wichita; brother, Walter Schmidt of Weston, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
